“Dr. Mac has been an outstanding physician at OakBend Medical Center for many years. He has supported the hospital’s standard of care with great pride. He is courteous to all members of the OakBendteam and also to his peers. When we had a problem with a patient after 6:00 PM, and the patient was in critical, he came to the hospital in a flash when we called; this, I believe, helped the outcome of the patient’s recovery. Dr. Mac sits on several committees here at OakBend and he is in attendance when no one else shows up. This is important to him to help us continue to make OakBend the hospital of choice. Dr. Mac is our UR Physician and this can sometimes put him in a difficult spot with his peers when he has to talk to them about their LOS, but he does it with graciousness and politeness. Dr. James McClamroch is truly an asset to our team. Also, never does he let the patient’s lack of resources gray his ambition to care 100% for the patients at OakBend Medical Center.”
“Dr. McClamroch – always speaks to staff, never meets a stranger, is committed to OakBend Medical Center, strives to do the right thing for the patient and OakBend, is always courteous, is approachable by all staff, works toward collaboration, maintains professionalism with patients and families, and is kind to staff.”
“Dr. McClamroch is dedicated to the organization. He is always willing to participate and advocate for the organization in which he has served. Dr. McClamroch is soft spoken and has a passion for his work and care of his patients. He is never expecting recognition or praise, is satisfied with a patient outcome, easy to work with and a credit to his profession.”
“Dr. McClamroch is an excellent physician. He is kind and pleasant to work with. He has compassion for his patients which I learned firsthand when he took care of my mother. He is also respected among his colleagues.”
“Dr. McClamroch is great to work with. He is a great team player and is willing to help where needed in the medical group and also in hospital.”
Other physicians nominated:
Dr. Capocyan – “Dr. Capocyan is a loyal supporter of Oakbend and does a great job working with us on the Senior Behavioral Health Unit as well as the 5th floor and at Williams Way. He’s a great guy, a hard worker and a family man. We are very lucky to have such a fine person and outstanding physician on our staff.”
Dr. Hillery – “He always goes beyond the call of duty. When his colleague is on call for him, he still comes by to make his round. I would ask him, ‘I thought you were off today’, he would say, ‘Yes I am, but my colleagues are busy. So, I decided to come by and do their rounds, so they don’t have to come all the way over here.’ He is always cheerful when he calls and when he comes to the floor. He is very polite to the staff. Even when he is upset about something or they make a mistake or do something wrong, he still treats the staff with respect. He never embarrasses the person in front of the others. He just asks to speak to Minnie. He will always treat his patient with respect. He doesn’t mind spending extra time with them to answer all of their questions until they are satisfied. And when the senior doctors come around, he gives them respect and makes sure others do too. I am so impressed in the way he carries himself. You do not see many doctors like him anymore. Dr. Hillery is a doctor for the people, not for the money. Respect, compassion, understanding and patience – all of this is Dr. Hillery.”
Dr. Popatia – “This physician is well respected by his peers and all staff. He has stepped up on committees and with medical staff to work as an advocate to our patients and families. He is focused on quality, safe patient care, and is very willing to work with the hospital to be sure we are the best.”
Dr. Thibodeaux – “Dr. Thib has been here as an OB GYN since June of 2002. During this time he has mentored new physicians, cared for thousands of patients all with compassion and empathy. He is respected by his peers and loved by the staff. He has been the example of what we love to see in a physician.”

His understanding of quality and customer service has led him to take on the role as Medical Director of the Perinatal Services Department. He works collaboratively with the leadership team, the physicians and the nursing staff to promote exceptional service. Dr. Fagbohun maintains a high standard in his delivery and practice, he is kind and caring and goes out of his way to help others in need. He is never to busy to listen and does what is necessary to achieve a cohesive working environment.”
