And if I were to be a lawyer, I could only defend and I could never lie. I knew quickly my options were limited. The two things I was most drawn to were science and caring for people. This led me to medicine. No other profession combines the two,” said Cao. Long’s parents were his early supporters and encouraged his goals. “Both my mother and father were 100-percent supportive of anything that had to do with helping people and making the most of the American dream,” commented Cao. “Now I have my wife and nine month old girl to be my cheerleaders.”
