The Williams Way location of OakBend Medical Center held a community celebration to recognize its 10 year anniversary on Saturday, October 19. The hospital’s family friendly event included games and prizes, snow cones, popcorn and food from Swinging Door. T-shirts were given to the first 100 people attending along with a stuffed toy for the children.
The celebration included music, Lady, Richmond’s Fire Department Mascot, Fort Bend County’s Ambus, the largest in the state, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department’s high water rescue vehicle and Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship winner, Shelby Bower , Cupcakes with a Smile food truck and the only Fort Bend based air ambulance was available for touring.
“We are excited to celebrate this milestone at our Williams Way location,” stated Joe Freudenberger, CEO of OakBend Medical Center. “This hospital has been a hidden gem and we want to public to know we are here and we are a full service hospital with our No Wait ER and NICU and surgical center. Having some of the babies that were born here come back to visit and celebrate with us made for a wonderful celebration.”
