OakBend Medical Center kicked off its Vision 2020 Campaign last night with a dinner for 100 community and hospital leaders. The Campaign which will provide visible and meaningful improvements is designed to give the community an opportunity to invest in the future of OakBend Medical Center.
The advances in medicine clearly indicate that the environment of care has a direct impact on patient outcome. The Vision 2020 Campaign is OakBend Medical Center’s way to create a first-class environment that will encourage healing and inspire its patients and staff. Vision 2020 will provide for improvements to the hospital’s medical-surgical patient floors, skilled nursing facility as well as the expansion expansion of the ACE (Acute Care for the Elderly) Unit.
The cost to complete all components of the campaign is estimated to be $10 million. Funds for the campaign will come from individuals, foundations and corporations who share OakBend’s commitment to providing quality healthcare for the people of OakBend.
“We have been blessed with a community that is extremely supportive of the hospital. The transformative improvements we have planned will help OakBend create an environment that reflects our commitment to excellence and is conducive to healing. This will allow OakBend to provide the people of Fort Bend County with the highest quality healthcare and exceptional service, making it the healthcare destination of choice for the community,” said Joe Freudenberger, CEO of OakBend Medical Center.
