The holiday season can be a difficult time for many families. Fortunately, Fort Bend County is blessed with a generous and supportive community, full of helping hands.
Last month, OakBend Medical Center partnered with Jane Long Elementary School to provide food to students and families in need. Employees, community members, and friends of OakBend donated non-perishable items such as canned and boxed food, paper/plastic ware, and other donations to give back to our community over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Jane Long Elementary is the oldest elementary school in the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District, having been built in 1948. Jane Long is proud of its rich history and EXEMPLARY rating, and we are proud to have partnered with them for this great cause.
We’ve made it through Thanksgiving together and with so much to be thankful for, let’s continue to help those who are less fortunate. If you’re looking for a way to contribute, we have a “Giving Tree,” set up at our Jackson Street Campus.
Select a tag from the Giving Tree
OakBend Medical Center is partnering with Richmond Healthcare Center to provide gifts to those residents in need this holiday season. Stop by the Giving Tree to select a tag with the holiday wishes of a specific resident. For example, a resident may request a book or a new pair of slippers. We’d love for you to stop by and help make a wish come true.
Our Giving Tree is located in the hallway next to Administration at the Jackson Street Campus:
