 OakBend Opens New Imaging Center

RICHMOND, TEXAS - March 26, 2008 - OakBend
Medical Center, with the assistance of the Rosenberg Richmond Area
Chamber of Commerce, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially
open a new dedicated outpatient imaging center at New Territory, Sugar
Land.
Located
adjacent to The Doctors’ Center Grand Parkway at Hwy 90A and Hwy 99,
the OakBend Imaging Center will offer a full range of radiology
services including: CT scanning, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI),
ultrasound and general x-ray. Immediate future plans also include the
addition of digital mammography. The OakBend
Imaging Center will be staffed with experienced radiology technologists
with board certified radiologists interpreting the studies. Using the
latest technology the center will provide diagnostic imaging services
in a relaxed and easily accessible environment. All services will be
connected to a digital online system which allows the radiologists to
interpret images from a central station. This technology will assist
in shortening the time required for interpreting and reporting results
to referring physicians and their patients. Eric Juarez, Manager said,
“our goal is to provide patients and physicians with a convenient
location for outpatient diagnostic imaging tests, efficient reporting
of test results, together with a friendly, high quality service in
comfortable surroundings. I am very excited to have the opportunity to
bring OakBend’s award winning services into the community.”
The
OakBend Imaging Center will open form 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with the
flexibility to accommodate early and late appointments with advance
notice.
