 OakBend Board of Directors Names Joe Freudenberger, Acting CEO

Richmond, TEXAS – September 27, 2007 - The
Board of Directors at OakBend Medical Center has completed their
transition planning for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position.
This plan includes a search for a permanent CEO, which is now
underway. 
Beginning
on October 20, Joe Freudenberger will become Acting CEO of OakBend
Medical Center. He will continue to fulfill his role as Chief
Financial Officer (CFO) and will provide continuity to the important
focus on strategic business development of the hospital and the OakBend
Health System initiatives. Freudenberger joined the hospital as CFO in
June 2007 having many years of experience as hospital CFO and Chief
Operating Officer. His most recent position was CFO at Memorial Health
System of East Texas where he had been since 2001. Jeff Council,
President, Board of Directors commented, “We are delighted that Joe
Freudenberger has agreed to step up while our search continues. He has
strong leadership skills and will provide continuity for our hospital”.
All
other Vice Presidents will continue in their current responsibilities.
The Board is especially grateful for the strength of the Senior
Management Team, especially with the exciting plans that are coming
together for the future development of OakBend.
