Visitors Information

OakBend Medical Center recognizes the importance of family and friends visiting patients during a hospital stay.
In order for us to encourage a healing environment, we kindly ask that visitors
follow these guidelines:
Throughout Jackson Street and Williams Way Hospital Campuses:
- Children under the age of 13 are not recommended to visit, but may be allowed with both physician and caregiver approval.
-
If a patient's condition warrants, overnight visitors are limited to one family member per night.
-
Patients in semi-private rooms - may not have overnight visitors.
-
Quiet surroundings must be maintained. Visitors are requested not to congregate in patient care areas.
-
We suggest that visitors who have a contagious disease, including a common cold, postpone visiting until they are well and visitors with
respiratory infections must wear a mask.
- Please understand that being hospitalized is exhausting and staying away to entertain visitors can be draining. Sometimes, short visits are the best visits.
Intensive Care Unit (both locations):
- Visitation is limited to immediate family only and only two people at a time.
- No cell phones are allowed in the ICU.
- Please remain in your patient's room or in the ICU waiting room.
- Please do not linger at the nurse's station.
- Children under the age of 13 are not permitted
.
Birthing Unit (Second Floor - Williams Way Campus):
- To
ensure a safe and secure environment for our babies, children under 12
are not permitted unless they are siblings of a newborn.
- Siblings are not permitted to stay overnight.
-
Visitors should be free of signs or symptoms of infection.
-
Children with ANY signs of an illness should not visit the Birthing Unit.
