OakBend Medical Center is committed to providing you with the best available healthcare along with convenient and reliable billing services.

Hospital Services
As a courtesy to our patients, we file claims directly with insurance carriers. We work with those carriers very closely to determine both the patient’s coverage and applicable out-of-pocket costs. Accordingly, we request that patients pay their out-of-pocket costs at the time of admission. After your insurance processes our claim, you will receive a statement for any deductibles, co-payments or co-insurance amounts that were not collected at the time of service. It generally takes 45-60 days for insurance carriers to process our claim.

Patients with no health insurance coverage will be asked to pay for elective services prior to the service date. OakBend Medical Center does have a financial assistance program for uninsured patients who qualify. To apply for financial assistance, please call Patient Accounts at 281-341-2843 or 281-341-4816.

We use outside collection agencies as an extension of our business office functions. If your account is referred to a collection agency, the agency will continue to work with you to obtain payment on your account balance.

Physician Services
Physicians involved in your care will bill you directly for their services. These may include your personal physician(s), anesthesiologist, emergency room physician(s), radiologist, pathologist, cardiologist or other physicians consulted during your hospital stay. Please remember that physicians are private practitioners and may not be a provider on your specific managed care plan. Please contact their office directly for their specific billing information.
